How system administrators configure the customer invoice platform fee, the inbound email domain and route distance services at /admin/settings, and how platform settings are stored.
Platform settings holds operable configuration that applies to the whole platform. The settings page is at /admin/settings, under Admin > Finance > Settings.
Settings are stored in the database, not in environment variables, so administrators can change them without a deployment. Secrets and deployment configuration still belong in environment variables.
Each setting is a row in the platform_settings table with a key, a JSON value, the update time and the user who changed it. Values are validated per key in application code. When a key has no row, the platform uses its built-in default.

Any signed-in user can read platform settings, because features such as invoice sending and chat need them at runtime. Writes are limited per key, as described under Permissions.
When an organization's customer pays an invoice online, the platform is the merchant of record. The fee is taken as the Stripe application fee on the destination charge before the funds are transferred to the organization.
Choose a Fee type:
Select Save. See Invoices and Stripe billing operations.
Inbound email sets the receiving domain configured in Resend, such as inbound.example.com. Employees forward receipts to their personal expenses+ address at this domain to create draft expense claims. Leave the field empty to turn receipt forwarding off.
Route distance takes a Geocoder URL for a Nominatim-compatible geocoder and a Router URL for an OSRM-compatible router. Together they calculate mileage distances for expense claims. Both must be full URLs; leave either empty to keep distance entry manual.
Every platform setting change is recorded in the audit log as a platform setting mutation.
