How notifications reach you in the topbar and the Notifications hub, how to act on approvals and replies inline, and how watch levels and channel preferences control what you receive.
Notifications tell you when something needs you or has happened to work you follow. They appear in two places:
/{orgSlug}/notifications lists everything for the organization, with search, filters and bulk actions. It is the second item in the sidebar.Opening /notifications without an organization takes you to the hub of your preferred organization.
The hub combines several sources in one list:
Each notification belongs to a group:

| Needs action | You are expected to decide, reply or review. |
| Running | AI or workflow work is in progress. |
| Happened | Information about something that already took place. |
The subject is the kind of record the notification is about, for example Task, Quote, Invoice, Order, Chat, Inbox, Workflow, Approval, Time off, Timesheet, Expense or Application. The type is the specific event, such as a task assignment, a mention, a quote acceptance, an overdue invoice or an escalated approval.
Notifications also carry a priority (low, normal, high or urgent) and show who caused them: a user, a customer or the system.
You can watch a record to hear about it even when you are not assigned. Watching is available on tasks, chat threads, inbox threads, workflows, workflow runs, agenda items, customers, quotes, invoices, orders and hiring applications.

Each notification type can be delivered in the app, by email or by push. You set preferences for one organization or as an account default that applies everywhere.
Notifications are delivered in the app today. Email and push preferences are saved, but delivery through those channels is not yet available.
Not yet available: WhatsApp notifications.
Open the bell to see the latest items. Select Mark all as read to clear the count, or Show all to open the hub.
In the hub you can:
Notifications that need action have buttons in the row, so you can respond without opening the record:

On a record that supports watching, use Watch, Unwatch or Stop ignoring to change your level. The Notification settings link opens your channel preferences.
Open your profile and go to the Communication tab. The Channels table has In-app, Email and Push toggles.
Notifications are personal. Every user sees only their own notifications and subscriptions, and only for records they can open. Acting on a notification uses the permission of the record behind it, for example deciding an approval needs the approver permission set on the approval rule.
All routes live under /api/v1/organizations/{organizationId}/:
